Transitional Kindergarten (TK) acts as a bridge between preschool and kindergarten. TK is ideal for children who are 'young fives' or who simply need more time to develop socially, emotionally, and academically. Children in the TK program will work towards similar goals as a kindergarten program, but at a modified pace and classroom environment.
Transitional Kindergarten includes all the academic content areas presented through literature-based thematic teaching. Each day will allow students opportunities for direct instruction, repeated practice, and free exploration. And with a longer school day and a modified pace, TK offers wonderful, enriched experiences in art, music, and science as well.
Our Transitional Kindergarten schedule runs Monday through Friday from 8:30 am through 1:30 pm with lunch included.
At Action Day Learning Center, we pride ourselves on our small class sizes and excellent educational programs. Our students are given the opportunity to learn with direct support from our teachers.
Each child learns, grows, and matures at their own rate. We offer TK as a solution for children who need a little extra time in any of their developmental areas. Offering each direct instruction and support, tailored to their specific needs.
We know that school and work hours don't always match. We offer extended care for our students so you can ensure they're getting the education they need and the care they deserve within your regular schedule. We are even open on days that elementary schools are closed, except for holidays.
